  If I could write a book about my experience with Erick, I'm almost certain it would be a best seller. Talk about a one of a kind human being! Erick... read more helped my wife and I purchase our very first home in San Diego but I can assure you it was not your normal home buying process. In fact, at nearly every turn, the whole goal seemed impossible to achieve and in all actuality it probably should have been. I know for certain that without Erick by our side, our dream of owning a house in San Diego would have never come true. With all that said, I'll try to sum this entire process up as best I can without writing a novel.

My wife and I had a limited amount of funds for buying a home so we decided to try going through an assistance program here in San Diego. That was great because without that assistance there's no way we could have afforded the home prices in San Diego, but the only problem was there were a million hurdles and limitations on what we could and could not do. Erick was a champ in going through this with us and really helping to break things down and simplify everything for us along the way. He was in constant communication not only with us, but with our lender, with with the assistance program, with all the inspectors, with the seller's agent, and at one point in the process even with the seller directly. Once we had an accepted offer on the house, the seller's agent disappeared. This was the first hurdle and one that lasted throughout the entire escrow period. The seller's agent would not return e-mails or phone calls. Because of this, Erick ended up not only doing his job as representing my wife and I in the sale, but he also did the seller's agent's job in making sure the transaction went through.

The house we purchased had to pass a very specific set of inspections before our SDHC portion of our loan could be approved. Without any cooperation from the seller's agent, Erick had to shoulder every problem that popped up during the 60+ day escrow period. He definitely did much more than his own part of the job. I don't know anyone who would work as hard as Erick in a situation like this. I know he did it all out of the good of his own heart and because I think he just loves the challenge. It was such a long and scary process, but Erick stuck by our side every step of the way and his positivity and relentless work ethic is what really got us through it. There was never a point in the process where we ever felt like we were going to be worked over. We were able to quickly and fully trust Erick. He was always very clear with us in what was happening, what needed to happen, and what obstacles could possibly be in our way. Even when things took turns for the worst, Erick somehow managed to turn them around and get things back on track.

After our SDHC inspections were done, we found out that there was nearly 20k of work that had to be done to the house before our loan would even be approved. The seller's agent was nowhere to be found during this, so we had to go directly to the seller and Erick held it all down like a total boss. Against his advice of putting our own money into the house before we even owned it, we assured him it was what we wanted to do and rather than quit on us or fight us, he rolled up his sleeves and jumped in with us and made sure there was nothing that would keep us from buying this house. He went above and beyond handling such things as scheduling our inspections, finding and scheduling termite tenting, finding and scheduling sewage repair, and connecting us with a general contractor for the repairs needed to secure our loan. He did it all for us and did everything in his power to keep any stress off of us. Honestly, we didn't really do anything because Erick was doing it all for us. We were stressed out during the entire home buying process at times, but it was more for Erick than anything because we knew just how much overtime and extra work and effort he was putting into it for us and we didn't feel worthy. I'm almost certain anyone else would have tapped out within 2 weeks of the nightmare but Erick stood tall and made the impossible possible.

In the end, aside from the amazing realtor Erick is, what my wife and I are both thankful for is the friendship that bloomed between ourselves and Erick. He is an amazing person with a big heart. He is genuinely sincere, extremely trustworthy, and just overall a loving human being that cares for and wants the best for others. He puts you before himself in everything he does. I have never met a more selfless person in my life. He does what's right and goes above and beyond for his clients. We are blessed to have had Erick come into our lives and I would recommend him to anyone looking to make their home buying dreams come true.

Something else that I appreciated about Erick is that he did not push for me to sign an agreement form, like some other realtors do, before being able to meet with me and take me to look at available homes. Throughout my search for another home and sale of my existing home, Eric stayed in close contact with me. He quickly arranged for professional pictures, was able to follow my pace and did a great job with the open house. Erick presented himself, his age and my home very well. As things took a turn for me unexpectedly, Erick was still there to support me, throughout. I had a personal situation and needed to withdraw my existing home from the market. Erick was understanding and despite a signed agreement he did what was right for me. I appreciate Erick for all these things and for valuing and putting his clients' needs above all else. Update. I decided it was time to put my condo back on the market. Erick was right there to support me in my decision. He helped me navigate what I needed to do to on my end, to help sell the condo. When some issues came up, Erick was right there to help the situation. Erick went above and beyond his duties as a Realator and followed my lead in selling the condo. Erick, Thank you so much for being there and helping me to sell my condo.

He then recommended a higher price for my condo which made me only get qualified potential buyers to view the him. With covid being what it is, it was key to have only serious buyers walk my home and Erick helped me do just that.
